 Shawn,

             Several months ago, I related to you a problem I was having regarding a 1000 gallon capacity grease trap servicing the kitchen at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home.  Since installation of a new dish machine & pulping grinder 18 months ago, it was brought to my attention that it was necessary to pump this tank weekly at a cost of $200 per pumping.

             I spoke with both the pumping contractor, who told me that the materials being pumped were difficult at best, due to their gelatinous state, as well as the dish machine manufacturer, who stated that their machinery produces a fine grind and should not be an issue.  Neither of these contacts assisted me with my ultimate goal, to reduce pumping frequency and thus save precious dollars. 

             At this point you brought to my attention the program offered by Professional Supply.  You offered to initiate a program of introduction of enzyme “pucks” into the trap tank.  From the beginning, Professional Supply began a program of enzyme “therapy” and weekly monitoring of our tank.

             As of today, we have been on the program approximately three months.  We have not had to pump the tank a single time in this period.  According to you, it may be many months before a pumping is again necessary.  The program you are providing includes installation of the chemical into our tank as well as regular monitoring, all at a small fraction of the cost of pumping.  The staff at Sunny Ridge is delighted with the program, as it is essentially “no touch” on their part, and they do not have to put up with the malodorous side effects of weekly pumping.

             In short, I am convinced that his program would prove beneficial to anyone with a grease trap.  It has assisted the County in saving precious dollars over the short term, and I am confident it will save us thousands over the course of a year. 

             Thanks again for providing this worthwhile product program.  It is so gratifying to know that a local contractor is ready, willing and able to partner with us in our ever-increasing challenge to reduce costs and hold the line on property tax levies.
